Imelda Impacting Texas; Full Tropics Update

Tropical Storm Imelda quickly developed today just off the coast of Texas and made landfall near Freeport at 1PM CT. It has technically been downgraded to a tropical depression. However, due to the slow-movement of this wet system, conditions will likely worsen into at least Wednesday across portions of Southeast Texas. As seen in recent years, heavy rains can quickly lead to dangerous flooding in the Houston area. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect.
