Shower and thunderstorm chances will remain high into next week. Morning downpours are even expected in some cases. Have an umbrella handy. When thunder roars, go indoors. A few storms will also be capable of producing strong wind gusts.
The increase in moisture is partially connected to an area of disturbed weather that is centered off the Florida coast. The National Hurricane Center has been watching it, but they say it has a near zero percent chance of becoming a tropical or subtropical cyclone. The other system being monitored does have a high chance to develop, but there is significant uncertainty regarding the future of this area (beyond early next week).
